The ideal length depends on the ceiling height. In general, allow between 80 and 100 cm above a table and adjust according to your needs. Our HOOPZI lighting cables are available in several lengths and are easily adjustable.

Yes, you can shorten the electrical wires on your HOOPZI pendant light to adjust the height of the light fixture to your ceiling. We recommend doing this at the ceiling junction box for an attractive and safe result. To comply with current regulations (NFC 15100 standard), we recommend having this modification done by a qualified electrician.

Yes. Each E27 Bakelite socket comes with two removable mounting rings. This allows you to use the HANG pendant light with bare bulbs for a clean, minimalist look, or to add lampshades of your choice (including HOOPZI models or those from other brands).

Our sockets feature the standard E27 fitting. For the best aesthetic appeal and maximum durability, we recommend using LED bulbs. You are free to choose "Edison-style" filament bulbs for a vintage look, opaque or white models for more diffused light, or even our XL decorative bulbs such as our bamboo range which serve as lampshades in their own right.

That is the great advantage of the HANG range! Whether you choose a 2, 3, or 5-cord model, the ceiling rose (the steel canopy) centralizes all the connections. You only need a single standard ceiling power supply to power all your bulbs simultaneously.

HANG 3: The ideal choice for aligning above a rectangular dining table or a central kitchen island.

HANG 5: Perfect for creating a "spider" effect or a majestic chandelier in the center of a large living room or a room with high ceilings.

For optimal visual comfort without obstructing your view, we recommend positioning the bottom of your bulbs (or lampshades) accordingly :

- 70 to 80 cm above a dining table.
- 75 to 85 cm above a kitchen countertop or island.
- 50 to 60 cm above a bedside table.

This is the most common issue in renovation projects: the ceiling electrical outlet is never positioned directly over the table! To solve this without having to cut channels into the plaster, use a "spider-style" multi-light pendant, such as our HANG 3 or HANG 5 models.

The concept is simple: the central canopy connects to your existing electrical outlet, and then, using the included small wall or ceiling hooks, you guide and secure each fabric-covered cord exactly where you want it. This allows you to perfectly center the light over your furniture, even if the power source is on the other side of the room.

Each socket on HOOPZI’s HANG and TWIST pendant lights supports 2 kg, just like the socket on the BALA light cord. A HANG 5 pendant light, featuring five sockets, therefore supports a maximum of 10 kg, including lampshades and bulbs.

En France, un dispositif de connexion luminaire est conçu pour une charge maximale de 25 kg, à condition que le boîtier soit solidement arrimé directement sur la structure du bâtiment. En l'absence de DCL, avec une fixation par vis et cheville dans une plaque de plâtre, il est recommandé de ne pas dépasser 10 kg.
