HOOPZI 10-Year Commercial Guarantee of Durability
At HOOPZI, we design lighting products to last. That is why we offer a free 10-year commercial guarantee of durability on a selection of our lighting products.
This guarantee is free of charge and covers the entire product, excluding the bulb. It is provided in addition to your legal guarantee rights and does not replace or limit them.
Which HOOPZI lighting products are covered by the 10-year guarantee?
The 10-year commercial guarantee of durability applies to the following models:
BALA, HANG 1, HANG 2, HANG 3, HANG 5
Other HOOPZI products, such as bulbs, are not covered by this 10-year commercial guarantee. They remain covered by the applicable legal guarantees.
How long does the 10-year guarantee last and where does it apply?
The guarantee is valid for 10 years from the product’s original date of purchase, as shown on your proof of purchase.
If the product is resold or changes ownership, the guarantee period continues to run from the original date of purchase.
All claims must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase.
Territorial coverage: the commercial guarantee of durability applies to eligible HOOPZI products sold directly by HOOPZI or through its retailers and partner marketplaces, in the countries and territories where these products are distributed.
What does the HOOPZI 10-year guarantee cover?
The guarantee covers any defect that prevents the lighting product from maintaining its required functions and performance through normal use throughout the guarantee period.
What is not covered by the 10-year guarantee?
The commercial guarantee of durability does not cover damage resulting from abnormal use or use that does not comply with the product’s intended purpose or instructions.
Incorrect installation: failure to follow the installation instructions supplied with the product, connection to a voltage other than 230 V, or use of a fixing unsuitable for the weight of the light fixture.
No earth connection: HANG pendant lights are Class I electrical products and must be connected to earth.
Incorrect bulb: use of a bulb other than E27 or a bulb rated above 40 W.
Excessive load: use of a lampshade or accessory weighing more than 2 kg per socket.
Unsuitable environment: HOOPZI IP20 lighting products are designed for indoor use only. Outdoor installation is not covered.
- In bathrooms, installation is only permitted in zone 3: more than 60 cm away from the bath, shower and washbasin, and never directly above them.
- In kitchens, installation is only permitted in dry areas: more than 60 cm away from the sink, hob and extractor hood, and never directly above them.
Incorrect care or cleaning: cleaning with water, household cleaning products, solvents or sharp objects. The light fixture should only be cleaned using a feather duster or soft brush.
Accidental damage: impact, dropping, burns or contact with a flame.
Product modification: alteration, dismantling or repair carried out by anyone not authorised by HOOPZI.
Transport or storage after delivery: for example, damage occurring during a house move.
Wear resulting from improper use or use that does not comply with the product’s intended purpose.
Purchases by professionals: the 10-year commercial guarantee of durability is reserved for consumers. For products sold to professionals or businesses, the guarantee period is 1 year from the date of delivery.
How to make a claim under the HOOPZI 10-year guarantee
To request support under this guarantee, contact us and provide the product reference, proof of purchase and a description of the problem. Please also include photographs clearly showing the defect.
Proof of purchase may be a receipt, invoice or bank statement.
We will acknowledge receipt of your claim within a maximum of 5 working days and explain the next steps.
Depending on the nature of the defect, HOOPZI will repair the product, including where appropriate by sending the necessary replacement part, or replace the product.
Return and redelivery costs: if your claim is covered by the commercial guarantee of durability, HOOPZI will cover the necessary costs of returning the product and sending it back to you. We will provide return instructions before you send the product.

Your legal guarantee rights remain unchanged
This commercial guarantee of durability is provided in addition to the legal guarantees available to you as a consumer and does not replace or limit those rights.
In France, consumers benefit in particular from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for under Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, as well as the guarantee against hidden defects provided for under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.
